Liz Stewart is a fiction writer from Minto, Manitoba, an itty bitty prairie town. She is the product of many generations of farmers. She left her small town life to study writing at the University of Victoria, where she graduated with a BA. In 2025, she was named one of the Writers Trust Rising Stars. Her short story about queer sex and highway driving appeared in the Best Canadian Short Stories 2025 anthology, and she has been published in the literary journals EVENT, Plenitude Magazine, and carte blanche, among others.
